Today we had a complete check of our security system. It`s good to have everything in order before we leave. So the guy came and did tests to see if the fire and burglar alarm worked properly. And they do. So if a fire breaks out, or some misguided soul decides to enter our premises uninvited while we`re away, all hell breaks loose. Not only does the siren wail like a banshee with her finger caught in a door, it also notifies the alarm company and/or the fire department. That`s good to know.

We have made arrangements to have two maladjusted pitbulls and their owner stay on site while we`re not there. I say maladjusted, but in fact, they`re psycho. I`m not sure but I think that goes for all three individuals. But I was told as long as there`s a supply of fresh meat and water they would be ok. And if not, the stray cats in the neighborhood would pay the price. So I see it as a win-win situation.
