We got a chance to be passengers on my dad`s helicopter today. Of course we said yes. Wouldn`t you? It was just a half day trip, but the weather was nice(ish) and the ride was fun.

We started at Sola airport (Stavanger Airport for those who aren`t natives) about 2PM. (1400 hours local time). Had to wait a while for the fuel truck to come and fill up the chopper, but after that we were soon airborne.

You can see from one of the pics that Chris was having a good time in the air. Landscape is nice, and we could see how the farmers have worked their land. Looks like a pretty patchwork from the air.

Chris tried getting to know the horses at the destination just outside of Grimstad, but I guess he was not sure whether they`d bite or not. I wasn`t too sure myself....;.)  Had a bad experience with a biting horse when I was a kid.

Posted a few pics for this entry, check them out. On the way home it was more foggy so some pics got blurry. Chris was really good driving the tractor and pulling the chopper into the hangar.

Took us about an hour and twenty minutes to get to the destination, but home it was just an hour due to wind conditions. It was a good day, and if you`d like to come sometime, let me know. Asking is free.
